Après cinq années de relation, le mannequin Rosie Huntington-Whiteley et le comédien Jason Statham se sont fiancés.
Ils forment l'un des couples les plus soudés mais aussi l'un des plus discrets à Hollywood.
Cinq ans après leur rencontre, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley et Jason
Statham écrivent aujourd'hui une nouvelle page de leur romance, comme le
rapporte le site du magazine «People». Contacté par la presse, le représentant du couple a ainsi confirmé ses fiançailles.Dimanche, le top de 28 ans et l'acteur de 48 ans ont ainsi officialisé l'heureux événement sur le tapis rouge des Golden Globes. Apprêtée d'une sublime robe de la maison Atelier Versace, la jeune femme s'est affichée radieuse au bras de son compagnon, arborant fièrement un joli diamant à l'annulaire gauche. Toujours selon «People», le bijou a été imaginé par le joaillier Neil Lane. Jason Statham aurait demandé la maison de sa jeune fiancée il y a tout juste quelques jours, lors de leurs récentes vacances en Thaïlande.
"Jason m'apporte de la stabilité"
Inséparables depuis leur coup de foudre survenu en 2010, les deux stars anglaises se sont rarement exprimées sur leur relation. Dans un entretien accordé à l'édition britannique du magazine «ELLE» en 2013, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley avait toutefois confié : «Beaucoup de mannequins sont investies dans des relations sérieuses pour être stables. Cela leur donne une raison de revenir chez elles, d'avoir une base. C'est ainsi que je vois ma relation avec Jason, il m'apporte de la stabilité.» En avril 2015, l'égérie Burberry évoquait ses envies de maternité dans une interview pour le magazine «The EDIT». «Fonder une famille est quelque chose auquel je pense, évidemment, que je le fasse aux États-Unis ou en Angleterre. Mais ce n'est pas toujours aussi simple que ça. Je n'ai aucune idée de ce qui arrivera, mais ça sera intéressant de le découvrir, pas vrai ? Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is a British model, Vogue cover girl, and Victoria’s Secret Angel.
She was born on April 18, 1987 in Plymouth to Fiona, a fitness
instructor, and Charles Huntington-Whiteley, a chartered surveyor and
has two younger siblings, Toby and Florence.
Her
great-great-grandfather was politician Sir Herbert Huntington-Whiteley,
1st Baronet, and her great-grandmother was descended from Polish Jewish
immigrants of the 1870s.
She grew up in Tavistock,
Devon, and in 2003, while studying at Tavistock College,
Huntington-Whiteley was discovered by Profile Model Management while
seeking internships with several London based modelling agencies.
After
modelling in London for a year, Huntington-Whiteley made her Fashion
Week debut at the autumn/winter 2004 shows and the following year walked
for labels including Moschino, DSquared and Kenzo.
She appeared on her first international Vogue cover, for Vogue Nippon, in May of 2005.
Following
her catwalk and Vogue debuts she appeared in a slew of campaigns for
high street and beauty brands including Topshop, Abercrombie &
Fitch, French Connection and Clinique as well as DKNY, LAMB, Pepe Jeans
and Ralph Lauren.
The model made her Victoria's
Secret debut at the brand's 2006 show in Los Angeles among established
names including Gisele Bündchen, Karolina Kurkova and Adriana Lima.
In
2008, Huntington-Whiteley was cast by Christopher Bailey as the face of
Burberry's autumn/winter 2008 campaign with actor Sam Riley.
Her
first British Vogue cover, for November 2008, saw her pictured
alongside Eden Clark and Jourdan Dunn in a feature celebrating British
models.
In 2009, she starred in a provocative short film for Agent Provocateur.
In late 2009, Huntington-Whiteley officially became a Victoria's Secret Angel.
She
was cast by controversial photographer Terry Richardson alongside
models including Daisy Lowe and Lily Cole, Miranda Kerr, Abbey Lee and
Ana Beatriz Barros for the 2010's Pirelli Calendar.
Huntington-Whiteley
dated Tyrone Wood, the youngest son of Ronnie Wood, from August 2007
until October 2009. When the pair separated she began a relationship
with French actor Olivier Martinez, which ended after a few months in
early 2010.
She made her acting debut in 2011 in Transformers 3.

Jason Statham and Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is
becoming Hollywood’s hottest romance.
The couple, whom started dating in April, have now decided to take the next step and move in together, The Daily Mail newspaper in the UK reports.
Rosie, 23, who quit London for Hollywood after landing Megan Fox's role in Transformers 3, is currently filming in Chicago while Jason is travelling the world promoting his new movie The Expendables.
When their work commitments finish they will return to LA, where Statham has just bought a new house.
"They seem very happy together. Rosie’s on the make and being with a big star like Jason is doing her career no harm at all," says a friend.
"She has been excitedly telling all her friends that they are going to be moving in together."
Mind you, Jason, 37, is keeping one eye on Rosie while she films Transformers with co-star Shia LaBeouf.
"Rosie jokes about how sexy Shia is because she knows it winds Jason up. Jason wants to make sure he holds on to Rosie, and moving in is a sign of his commitment to her," adds the source.
